Baseball Recap: Sidney Comes Up Short

The Sidney Yellowjackets didn't have quite enough to beat the Lebanon Warriors on Saturday and fell 5-4.

Kade Swiger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Eli McKenzie, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Sidney has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Lebanon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Sidney will face off against Wayne at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lebanon will be paying especially close attention to the Yellowjackets' game: after the Yellowjackets face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Lebanon again at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
