Soccer Recap: Madisonville Takes a Loss

Madisonville was the 3-2 winner over Magnolia when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Madisonville Mustangs fell just short of the Magnolia Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Madisonville fell to 2-1. As for Magnolia, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Madisonville will take on Magnolia in a tournament on Thursday. As for Magnolia, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
