Soccer Game Preview: Weber vs. Farmington

The Weber Warriors will face off against the Farmington Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Farmington heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Weber took over last week. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against Layton on Wednesday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Weber.

Jace Rydalch was the driving force of Weber's attack as he scored both of Weber's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Meanwhile, Farmington had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Phoenix who were credited with the win on Wednesday. Farmington got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Fremont's two.

Weber's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those six contests. As for Farmington, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
