Baseball Recap: Canyon Hills Rattlers vs. Escondido Charter Tigers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon Hills). They blew past the Escondido Charter Tigers 9-2 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Rattlers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Evan Zinn tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Canyon Hills is 2-0-1 when Zinn allowstwo or fewer earned runs, but 0-6 otherwise.
At the plate, Sam Wabe was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lang, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
