Basketball Recap: Christian Learning Center Starts Season with Win at Home

Christian Learning Center gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They breezed past Varsity Opponent to the tune of 62-17. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with Varsity Opponent recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Learning Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Lewis, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 15 points. What's more, Lewis also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Easton Rhodes, who posted nine points along with six steals and five assists.

Christian Learning Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-43 victory against Center Place on the 14th. As for Varsity Opponent, they have also already played their next game, a 47-41 win against Barrie on the 10th.
