Preview: Aplington-Parkersburg vs. Osage
Aplington-Parkersburg will take on Osage at home at 7:30 PM on Friday. Aplington-Parkersburg aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
Aplington-Parkersburg had a rough outing against Lake Mills two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Aplington-Parkersburg strolled past Sumner-Fredericksburg with points to spare last Friday, taking the match 21-6. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (18) and coasted on those for the win.
Meanwhile, Osage might be getting used to good results now that the squad has five wins in a row. They were able to grind out a solid victory over Lake Mills, winning 42-30.
Their wins bumped Aplington-Parkersburg to 4-4 and Osage to 6-2. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Aplington-Parkersburg and Osage clash.
