Baseball Recap: Glacier Peak Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Glacier Peak, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They skirted past the Jackson Timberwolves 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Timberwolves on Friday, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Ryan Sundby tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Atticus Quist, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Keller, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Glacier Peak pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Jackson, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-3.

Coming up, Glacier Peak will head out to challenge Mercer Island at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jackson, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lake Stevens at 4:00 p.m. The Timberwolves will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
