Football Recap: Pierce County's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games + How To Watch

While it was Pierce County who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Crisp County who put up more. The Bears fell 28-16 to the Cougars. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Crisp County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derrell Brown, who rushed for 30 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and one score. Brown also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Cougars are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-6 otherwise. Hagan Slimp was another key player, having thrown for 255 yards and two touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pierce County fell to 7-1. As for Crisp County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
