Baseball Recap: North Lamar Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Lamar can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-0 to Sunnyvale, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have struggled against Sunnyvale recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

North Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Sunnyvale, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-9-2.

North Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunnyvale, they will face off against Carthage on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Sunnyvale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
