Baseball Recap: Eagle Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Weld Central two weeks ago, Eagle Valley came back down to earth. The Devils came up short against the Denver East Angels on Thursday, falling 14-2.

Eli Adams was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Eagle Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Denver East, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Looking ahead, Eagle Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Rifle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Denver East, they will challenge Montbello at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
