Softball Recap: Raleigh Takes a Loss

Raleigh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Puckett Wolves, falling 12-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 last Friday.

Kinley Delcid was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Haylee Buffington, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 9-15-1. As for Puckett, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-6-1.

Raleigh has already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Pelahatchie on the 10th. As for Puckett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-6 loss against Clinton on the 11th.
