Wheeling Central Catholic had won 11 straight home games dating back to last season and Kaitlyn Blake did her part to make it 12 on Saturday. The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Robert C. Byrd Eagles 88-34 thanks in part to Blake, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was her seventh in a row with at least 18 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Seneca Heller, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Wheeling Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Robert C. Byrd, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
