Softball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Comes Up Short

Sunrise Mountain's tournament run continued when they took on Madera on Saturday. The Mustangs lost 13-4 to the Coyotes.

Sunrise Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaelani Paulino, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Chelsea McManus was another, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Sunrise Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Madera, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Sunrise Mountain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Willow Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Madera, they have already played their next matchup, an 8-4 win against Tucson High Magnet School on the 14th.
