Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Ridge Jaguars vs. Marana Tigers

The Desert Ridge Jaguars will challenge the Marana Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Desert Ridge lost 3-0 to Higley on Thursday. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marana, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Amphitheater on Tuesday. The Tigers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Marana was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 25-6.

Marana pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Desert Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Desert Ridge took their victory against Marana in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
