Basketball Recap: Victoria East Titans vs. Lamar Consolidated Mustangs
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Victoria East ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 56-50 W over the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-54 back in January.
Despite the loss, Lamar Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Edgar Garcia went 8 for 11 en route to 21 points and five boards. Renniek James was another key player, putting up 15 points and six rebounds.
