Preview: Anna vs. Farmersville
Anna is 7-0-1 against Farmersville since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Anna Coyotes will look to defend their home pitch against the Farmersville Farmers at 11:30 a.m. Anna will be strutting in after a victory while Farmersville will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Anna's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Celina 3-2.
Anna was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Desmar Marroquin and
Sebastian Griman, who scored all three of Anna's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 11 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Farmersville traveled a rocky road last season, and unfortunately for them the road hasn't gotten any smoother. They suffered a tough 7-1 defeat at the hands of Celina on Friday. Farmersville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Anna's victory bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for Farmersville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1.
Anna was able to grind out a solid victory over Farmersville when the teams last played back in March of 2023, winning 3-1. Will Anna repeat their success, or does Farmersville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
