Basketball Game Recap: El Capitan Gauchos vs. Santa Rosa Panthers

After flying high against the Livingston Wolves last Tuesday, the El Capitan Gauchos came back down to earth. El Capitan took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Rosa on Thursday.

Santa Rosa found their leader in underclassman Gabe Airoldi, who scored 13 points along with 5 assists. The game was Airoldi's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braiden Black, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.

El Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Santa Rosa, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

El Capitan is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Gregori at 3:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Santa Rosa, they will be playing at home against Vintage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
