Football Recap: North Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Coquille last Saturday, North Valley came back down to earth. The Knights were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 24-23 to the Siuslaw Vikings. The Knights lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in September of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 48-13 score last time.

Despite the loss, North Valley still got an impressive performance from Hayden Taylor, who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Siuslaw can attribute much of their success to Dylan Gray, who rushed for 100 yards on only 12 carries. Micah Blankenship was in the mix too, providing the Vikings with two TDs.

North Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Siuslaw, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Valley will square off against Hidden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Siuslaw, they will face off against Cascade Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
