Baseball Recap: Manawa Takes a Loss

Manawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolves have suffered against the Thunderbirds since May 28, 2019.

Manawa's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, Manawa will challenge Tigerton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they will face off against Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
