Baseball Recap: Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders vs. Washingtonville Wizards
Monroe-Woodbury took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They blew past the Washingtonville Wizards 13-1. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Lucas Beers looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Monroe-Woodbury let Liam Hayes and Max Post run wild. Hayes went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Post scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave Post a new career-high. Evan Erickson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
