Volleyball Recap: Glenbard West's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Glenbard West had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Plainfield South Cougars on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hilltoppers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Despite the loss, Plainfield South had strong showings from George Jimenez, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Alexander Venes, who had 19 assists and four digs. Venes is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 14 games he's played.

The victory (which was Glenbard West's fourth in a row) raised their record to 34-5. As for Plainfield South, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-14.

As of now, neither Glenbard West nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
