Recap: Logan Grizzlies vs. American Prep WV Eagles
The Logan Grizzlies's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 32-25 victory over American Prep WV. That's another feather in the cap for Logan, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
American Prep WV's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nicole Tran, who scored 10 points. Tran scored a full 40% of American Prep WV's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Leticia Calderon, who scored 7 points.
Logan's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for American Prep WV, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Logan will be playing at home against West Side at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (West Side is ranked 91st in Idaho, while Logan is ranked 98th in Utah). As for American Prep WV, they will head out on the road to face off against Utah School for the Deaf & Blind at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
