Basketball Recap: Jarrod Funk's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Port Allegany over Coudersport + How To Watch

Port Allegany fought the good fight in their overtime game against Coudersport on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 50-44 to the Falcons. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Port Allegany's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarrod Funk, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 34.1% of the Gators' points, marking the fourth time in a row Funk has posted more than a third of the team's points. Isac Amell was another key player, putting up five points and eight boards.

Port Allegany's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Coudersport, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Port Allegany and Coudersport will both be playing Austin the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Gators will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
