The home team had come away the winner the last three times Cardinal Spellman and Maria Regina had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pilots came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 14-10 on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Pilots have beaten the Tigers on their field since May 1, 2019.

Danielle Sanchez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season.

In other batting news, Cardinal Spellman let Camila Uribe and Mia Paulino run wild.
