Allen Park had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They came out on top against the Riverview Pirates by a score of  43-34. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the   64-47 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2023.
 Despite the loss, Riverview still got an impressive performance from   Averi Westbay, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 13  points and nine  rebounds. What's more,  Westbay posted two  blocks, the most she's  had since back in January of 2024.  Kate Patterson was another key player,  putting up eight points.
Allen Park's victory was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 18-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.9 points on average over those games. As for Riverview,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 14-10 record.
 Looking ahead, Allen Park will be taking part in a tournament against Bedford  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Bedford will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something Allen Park surely won't give up without a fight. Riverview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
