Baseball Recap: Mt. Vernon Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mt. Vernon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Richland County Tigers 12-11. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ryker Perigo, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nolan Mast, who went 5-for-6 with three runs and one RBI.
