Basketball Recap: Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter Takes a Loss

Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Young Women's College Prep Griffins and fell 61-20. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Griffins from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Young Women's College Prep, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Young Women's College Prep on January 23rd. As for Young Women's College Prep, they are taking a road trip to take on Franklin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
