Softball Recap: Tuckerman Bulldogs vs. Trumann Wildcats
Tuckerman won the last time they faced Trumann and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Tuckerman Bulldogs' way against the Trumann Wildcats as the Tuckerman Bulldogs made off with a 9-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Maegan Richardson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gracee McGuire, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bristen Wheeler, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Tuckerman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trumann only posted a batting average of .200.
