Pell City is a perfect 10-0 against St. Clair County since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Pell City will take on St. Clair County at 11:30 a.m. Pell City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Pell City proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Hackleburg.

Addy Simmons spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Nyla Treptau was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kherington Keith was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, St. Clair County's hitters rose to the challenge against a Dolphins pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.94 runs allowed on Friday. St. Clair County walked away with a 15-10 win over Gulf Shores.
The team relied heavily on Aniyah Dean, who went 3-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Carman Garner, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
St. Clair County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. Pell City's record now sits at 15-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Pell City hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like St. Clair County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Pell City took their win against St. Clair County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pell City since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
