It was fun while it lasted, but Union's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Saturday. They fell 7-3 to the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Haylee Moynier spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Payzlei Parrish was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Charlee Kesler, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Union fell to 4-1. As for Juan Diego Catholic, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Union Cougars face off against Pine View Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Juan Diego Catholic, they will head out to square off against Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
