Softball Recap: Munford Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Munford challenged Beulah on Friday. The Lions fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since April 2, 2024.

Chloe Pickette was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Jena Gaither, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Munford's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5-1. As for Beulah, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-14-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Munford will welcome Handley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beulah, they will square off against Horseshoe Bend at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
