Basketball Game Preview: Granger Lions vs. Rosebud-Lott Cougars

Granger is 1-7 against Rosebud-Lott since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Granger Lions take on the Rosebud-Lott Cougars at 2:00 p.m. Rosebud-Lott took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Granger, who comes in off a win.

Granger picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They slipped by Giddings 41-40. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Buffaloes are ranked 1238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Rosebud-Lott was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 23-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thorndale.

Granger's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Rosebud-Lott, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Granger came up short against Rosebud-Lott in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 55-43. Can Granger avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
