Baseball Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss

Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wesson Cobras, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 on Tuesday.

Jefferson County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wesson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson County will challenge Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Wesson, they will take on Natchez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wesson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
