Basketball Recap: Jaylin Brewer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Henderson over Hendersonville + How To Watch

If East Henderson was feeling good fresh off their 62-23 takedown of Chase on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hendersonville Bearcats on Wednesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

East Henderson's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylin Brewer, who posted ten points and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb McKenzie, who put up seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Leading Hendersonville to victory were Jaylon Wynn and Jordan Wynn. Jaylon shot 58% from the field en route to 17 points and three steals, while Jordan had 13 points and three steals. Sebastian Jacobs was another key player, putting up nine points.

East Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, East Henderson will challenge R-S Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hendersonville, they will square off against West Henderson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
