After losing to Lake the last time they met, Roosevelt decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rough Riders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Blue Streaks 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Roosevelt's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Lake are ranked 410th).

Simon Hassler and Simon Khan scored both of Roosevelt's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Roosevelt is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4-2 record this season. As for Lake, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11-1.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Archbishop Hoban on the 27th. As for Lake, they will face off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
