The third road match was the charm for Evergreen, as they earned their first away win of the season. They put the hurt on the Mercer Island Islanders with a sharp 20-1 victory on Thursday. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 14 runs or more this season.

Evergreen's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mercer Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Evergreen will be playing in front of their home fans against Steilacoom at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sentinels have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Mercer Island, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lindbergh at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Islanders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
