Softball Recap: Western Reserve Comes Up Short

Western Reserve and Woodmore squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Western Reserve had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 8-2. The Roughriders just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Western Reserve saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilliana Jarrett, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Mackenzy Cook was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Western Reserve's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Woodmore, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-15 record this season.

Western Reserve does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodmore, they will take on Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
