Osmond/Randolph suffers 14th straight loss on the road

Recap: Osmond/Randolph Hawks vs. Plainview Pirates

The Osmond/Randolph Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. The matchup between Osmond/Randolph and Plainview wasn't particularly close, with Osmond/Randolph falling 65-51. While losing is never fun, Osmond/Randolph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Plainview is ranked 101st).

Osmond/Randolph lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brayden Shearer, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Xander Brown, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.

Osmond/Randolph's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Plainview, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Osmond/Randolph will look to defend their home court on Monday against Winside at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Winside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Plainview, they will take on Bloomfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bloomfield is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
