Basketball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Meridian was the 70-34 winner over Mount Vernon Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes on Thursday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Vernon Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Feddema, who shot 62% from the field on his way to 21 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Russell, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mount Vernon Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Meridian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-46 loss against Sehome on the 8th. As for Mount Vernon Christian, they will welcome Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
