Volleyball Recap: Dawson Falls Short Against Ranked Cypress Ranch

Dawson faced Cypress Ranch in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Cypress Ranch found their leader in sophomore Kaelyn Harvey, who had seven digs and four assists. Harvey also put up an ace, which was her first of the season.

Dawson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Cypress Ranch, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Dawson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Kingwood on the 21st. As for Cypress Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Pearland on the 19th.
