Football Game Preview: Lindale Eagles vs. Almeta Crawford Chargers + Official Tickets

The Lindale Eagles will face off against the Almeta Crawford Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lindale comes in on four and Almeta Crawford on eight.

Lindale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-21 victory over Hargrave. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Falcons are ranked 470th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reed Carnathan went supernova, picking up 175 receiving yards and four TDs.

Meanwhile, Almeta Crawford humbled Worthing with a 50-7 victory. Considering the Chargers have won nine matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Almeta Crawford found their leader in sophomore Dedrick Polk, who rushed for 185 yards and three scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 185 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Polk. Alvin Mosley also helped with two TDs in total.

Almeta Crawford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 272 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Almeta Crawford's defense and their 3.5 sacks. In that department, Shemar Walls was the leader with two. Another thorn in Worthing's side was Khaidyn Hopson, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made seven total tackles.

Lindale's record is now 10-1. As for Almeta Crawford, their record now sits at an identical 10-1.
