Softball Recap: Brookhaven Takes a Loss

Brookhaven lost to Sumrall on March 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Bobcats, falling 21-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaiycee Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Jayonna Pendleton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Brookhaven's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Sumrall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Brookhaven will venture away from home to take on North Pike at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumrall, they will head out to face off against Columbia at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
