Preview: Liberty Baptist Academy Knights vs. Pahranagat Valley Panthers
Liberty Baptist Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Pahranagat Valley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Liberty Baptist Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Mountain View Christian out 46-44.
Liberty Baptist Academy can attribute much of their success to Brandon Kiel, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals, and Bruce Delgado, who scored seven points along with five steals. Delgado is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Isaiah Duran was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Pahranagat Valley's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They blew past Mountain View Christian 51-24 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Pahranagat Valley has posted yet this season.
Liberty Baptist Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Pahranagat Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Liberty Baptist Academy suffered a grim 61-37 defeat to Pahranagat Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2020. Can Liberty Baptist Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
