Football Game Preview: Graham-Kapowsin Eagles vs. Yelm Tornados

The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles will challenge the Yelm Tornados at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Graham-Kapowsin is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Graham-Kapowsin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Bonney Lake 61-34. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Panthers are ranked 86th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Yelm was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spanaway Lake.

Yelm's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Graham-Kapowsin, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Graham-Kapowsin took their win against Yelm in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 57-36 score. In that game, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 35-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
