Jefferson City waltzed into their game on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They had just enough and edged the Rolla Bulldogs out 63-61. For the Jays, this counts as revenge for the 89-83 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Rolla lost, don't look at Ethan Brown. Despite the final result, he posted 31 points. Another player making a difference was John Papadakos, who had nine points.

Jefferson City pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rolla, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson City will take on Central at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rolla, they will challenge Battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rolla knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Battle likes a good challenge.
