Basketball Game Preview: Navajo Pine Warriors vs. Dulce Hawks

Navajo Pine is 1-9 against Dulce since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Navajo Pine Warriors will welcome the Dulce Hawks at 6:00 p.m.

Navajo Pine is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since January 9th on Saturday. They fell just short of Rehoboth Christian by a score of 33-30. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Navajo Pine saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Riley Dawes dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 50% of Navajo Pine's points, marking the fourth time in a row Dawes has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Dulce didn't have too much trouble with Ramah on Saturday as they won 60-41.

Dulce's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Navajo Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
