Basketball Recap: Mae Jemison Comes Up Short

Mae Jemison lost against Austin back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mae Jemison Jaguars fell 72-63 to the Austin Black Bears. The Jaguars' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Mae Jemison's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Austin, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mae Jemison will challenge Hazel Green at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mae Jemison is facing Hazel Green at the right time seeing as Hazel Green is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Austin, they will face off against Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Austin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Florence likes a good challenge.
