Baseball Recap: Manatee Triumphs

The Manatee Hurricanes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Camden County Wildcats 5-4.

Jordan Roberts was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Laurie Edwards was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Manatee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Camden County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Coming up, Manatee will be playing at home against Booker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Camden County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Colquitt County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
