Baseball Game Preview: Vision vs. Parma Panthers

Vision hasn't had much luck against Parma recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Vision will head out to square off against Parma at 5:00 p.m. Vision has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Vision came up short against New Plymouth and fell 14-10. Even though they lost, Vision's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Meanwhile, Parma also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Melba by a score of 8-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Gabe Mullins put in work no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Mullins wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Cole, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Vision's record now sits at 1-15. As for Parma, their record is now 8-15.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Vision has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Parma struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Vision might still be hurting after the 12-1 loss they got from Parma in their previous meeting on Saturday. Can Vision avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
