Softball Game Preview: Northwestern Warriors vs. Carlisle Indians

The Northwestern Warriors will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Carlisle Indians at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Carlisle took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Northwestern, who comes in off a win.

Northwestern is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Miami East. Northwestern walked away with a 7-3 victory over Miami East on Thursday.

Sophia Pamer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Azzy Hammer was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Hensley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Carlisle was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to Beavercreek. The loss put an end to the Indians' undefeated start to the season.
